In this session, the presenters will show participants how they can use Salesforce for their agency. Specifically, they will focus on how to enter data into the system, how to query certain data and fields, and then how to build reports and dashboards to visually present their data. Takeaways will include the knowledge of a free, web-based database tool that anyone will be able to make an account for after leaving the session (free for nonprofits, at a cost for any other agency). Participants will have a better understanding, whether they had ever heard of Salesforce or not prior to this session, of Salesforce and if it is something their agency could potentially use for its data management and evaluation. Participants will be aware of next steps they can take if they are interested in using Salesforce for their agency (i.e. making an account, using Trailhead to start learning Salesforce).
